Darkness and Starlight 11 - Revenge of the Koopa Brothers
The path towards the Shhwonk Fortress was littered with the remnants of its civilisation. Crumbling mortar that once stood tall as either houses or fort guards, it was a far cry from the peaceful unspoilt field far to the west behind them. Ruined...
Mushrooms, Turtles and Pipes, Oh My! 7 - Frost Bite
The moment James entered the climber's house, he knew he was in safe hands. Flippers rather. Climbing gear decked out along the walls from karabiners to hiking poles, taut ropes and snowshoes well-placed and categorised all along the wooden log walls....
Darkness and Starlight 18 - The Star Warrior
He felt as if he had awoken from a long troubled sleep, his eyes now feeling strangely as light as a feather. A peaceful resonance covered the land around him, the very aura of this strange place soon washing over him with its soothing presence. A dark...
Darkness and Starlight 16 - Disaster On a Clear Day
The next day, Koopin was still recovering in the hospital hut of Yoshi's Island. While the locals were incredibly forthcoming and helpful, with even a few visits from strangers wishing him the best in recovering, he was still downtrodden by his own...
Darkness and Starlight 25 - Possession
James found himself still within the forest clearing, the darkened glade barely touched by the sunny skies above. Yet an even greater darkness could be felt within the area. Koopin's scream had pierced deep into his heart, as he woke with a pang of...

Mushrooms, Turtles and Pipes, Oh My! 18 - The Brawling Raptor

Mushrooms, Turtles and Pipes, Oh My! 19 - The Ceremony
The entire place had been trashed and turned over. The sofa had been turned over, pictures had been knocked down. Small droplets of spit laid alongside deep grooves in the wall, signs that someone had been beaten against the wall or the fireplace....
Mushrooms, Turtles and Pipes, Oh My! 16 - Haunting Music
The interior was not as grand as they expected for the supposed lair of a ghost gone mad. A small table with only two chairs and a single dreary white tablecloth, and a fireplace between rectangular windows that curved at the top. What was interesting...
Darkness and Starlight 24 - Love and Hate Collide
Koopin shivered in the grasp of the raptor's hand, a cold air of death sweeping over him that replaced the warmth he had once known. The raptor's eyes, blacker than any he had known, gazed upon him curiously with intrigue. His voice now resonated with...
Darkness and Starlight 20 - Hell Hath No Fury...
The dust slowly began to settle as the wind soon stopped. James was trapped on one side of a violent force field of pure violet lightning, which he was smart enough not to dare touch. Koopin was inside, facing towards the previously-cloaked antagonist....
Darkness and Starlight 8 - Black and Blue
When Lee arrived to the dojo from his studies, he was informed of Koopin's progress, much to Chan's stinging shame. The beetle nevertheless took it on the chin for his older disciple and friend, as both him and the Master explained. After the day's...
