This is a side plot of my friend blue dragon 365's story, the protector. this gives more depth to one of the main characters garis, as well as some side characters that show up later in the main story.

A Composer's Lament - Thursday Prompt Story [#10, 09/3/23]
Unfortunately, that does mean i had to sacrifice the 365 word limit imposed for this prompt, but i made sure to not go over double this amount. even more unfortunately for me, after editing and shortening the story, my final word count was... 727 words.

My deadline was set to 365 days exactly, due to my homage to unus annus, as mentioned in the preface, but if i take up another project i'll be at ease knowing i have as much time as i need. but try to stick your the deadline once it's set.
The River
It was soon to be a new year, the 365 days refreshed. she had been to the party at her families' home just next to the forest, the party had been going for a while, and she thought she needed some time away from all of it.
