Not a day passes that i do not wish,
to be free of the burden of what once was.
every day i wish i could forget,
dreams that never became.
M/solo, No-Yiff, Poem, deep, rambling
Too easy for many to complete
slow going among the speeding, the steps like silk leave paths concrete
higher than dreams, farther than imagined memories
fictional futures fall quickly in unknown shadows, taking with them imagined histories
blankets of burden
Poem, Poetry, Short Story, slice of life
Mistaken
sounds so settling to a soul flicker flames over unknown times
meaningful melodies play as memories are turned into timid rhymes
secrets let flow forward every moment kept to caution, as doubt was present
such free-falling feathers now blanket once burdened
Poem, Poetry, Short Story, slice of life
It won't be quick;
it won't be light,
this burden we now don,
but we accept and raise our lights
to watch until the dawn.
Fire, Poem, defense
To fill it once again; to regain what was lost
you can't give up now, not when all you love is standing beside you
you can't give up because all of us feel that you can and should push through
you can't give up because all of us would rather take your burden
Dream, Love
Mesmerized by the lack of luck
i walk about, only in place, as time leaves me stuck
among the many thoughts long waiting for completion, or closure
i let tired eyes wander about the buildings of burdens, ever reaching further into the mental darkness never
Poem, Poetry, Short Story, slice of life
Your love even when i'm coming undone
you're the reason i choose to live, the reason i choose to try
so hold me as i fade into your arms
hold me one last time
the tears washing away my pain i watch as they fall
i never meant for this to be your burden
Love, Poem
Filling yourself of mind and peace, burdens of the day swept aside from your eyes, continuous flow in one's self-esteem, growing and fading inside.
the drifting waves of color wrapping around your exposed-self, across and around the finger cracks.

In the end, they give or bend as better or worst, control the masses
singular by the dozen, single words find many to move beyond imagination
by leaving everything behind, we find in mind, a shared cooperation
just to exist being a burden to blinding
Poetry, Short Story, slice of life
You can't keep me around forever
the burden that is you weighs a ton -
it's a miracle my back is still intact
from caring for you - remind me, am i your son
or your husband? is the "crippled mother" just an act?
Frustration, Mother, Poem, Poetry, Relationships, Rhyme, Son, boyfriend, free verse, freedom, stress
Defiant to the grind
i let loose inhibition & release the depths of my mind
visually a blur, i walk with pride to a battle unsure
desperate never a word that crosses my heart
i hold steady, ready to tear anything in my way apart
burdened with meanings
Poem, Point of View, Short Story, slice of life
